Age Requirement

The first requirement that you have to meet in order to acquire ZIN membership is that you have to be at least 18 years or age, or older. This requirement is in order to join the Basic Zumba workshop or the Zumba gold workshop. It is possible for a 16 or 17 year old to join Zumba basic workshops as well, but they would need to submit a letter of permission signed by their guardian or parent. Both parents would be required to sign the liability form at the workshop. Individuals who are underage need to first contact the trainer of the workshop; talk to him/her and also make sure that your parent talk to him.

One of the strict policies of ZIN is that the ZIN membership should only be for a Zumba instructor. According to the ZIN policies, you are not allowed to share any of these sets or choreography tips with non-members. You are also not allowed to create any copy of the songs. This is one rule that you have to take very seriously since the RIAA is currently chasing individuals who have breached the copyright law.
You should try and protect yourself, please restrain from making copies of any CDs or DVDs that you get. The ZIN DVDs are also not sold to the general public; these CDs are only targeted towards individuals who are ZIN members and Zumba instructors. Cancelling Membership

ZIN membership can be acquired for a limited time which can vary from a few months to a full year. Members are advised not to cancel their membership before its expiry date, however, if an individual wishes to cancel his/her membership before the expire date then he has to pay a penalty fees for the remaining months left for expiry. The charges can be around $20 per month, so if your membership expires in 3 months then you have to pay a total of $60 dollars approximately. Your membership cancellation has to be approved first; the cancellation process can last for up to a month.

Getting Materials

Once you have registered for ZIN membership you will be given certain items at the time and you will receive other material later on. You will receive a list of CDs, DVDs and manuals that are available for your program. Zumba will not be giving any liability insurance waiver. Every Zumba instructor is solely responsible and acts as an independent contractor who is allowed to decide terms, rates, routines and schedule.
