Mustard seed, ground
2 tbsp
Fresh rosemary
3 sprig
Garlic, raw
6 Tbsp
Drinking tap water
½ cup 8 fl oz
Lamb, leg, whole shank and sirloin, separable lean only, choice, raw
4 oz

Preparation method

  1. Slice the garlic cloves and set aside.
  2. Take a small paring knife, make several (approx 20) small pockets in flesh and insert garlic slivers in pockets.
  3. Take a small bowl, add mustard and honey together, and mix them well. Put little mixture into the pockets with spoon and spread remaining mixture over leg. Insert rosemary sprigs in pockets.
  4. Place a trivet or an upturned saucer into the base of your slow cooker dish. Keep the lamb leg on it and pour water slowly around it. Cook on high flame for 4 hours or you can cook for 8 hours on lower flame. Remove now and then serve warm to everyone.
