Milk, nonfat, skim, with vitamin A and D
1 tbsp
Spices, pepper, black
1 dash
Fresh basil
½ cup leaves, whole
1 dash
Skinless chicken breast, raw
4 breast, bone and skin removed
Garlic, raw
1 Tbsp
Tomato puree, canned without salt
1 tbsp
Whole grain wheat flour
1 oz

Preparation method

  1. Cut chicken breast into very thin slices, crush garlic clove. Place chicken slices to the clean board, if you feel your chicken is too thick then use rolling pin or meat mallet to beat it until flatten. Now spread the tomato puree all over the chicken pieces, add few basil leaves on top with crushed garlic and season according to your taste with salt and pepper. Roll up tightly the both ends of breast around filling to completely enclose and secure with toothpick or cocktail stick. Lightly brush each one with milk, and sprinkle with flour over to coat fully. Shift the spirals to the foil-lined grill pan. Broil it on medium hot grill for 20 minutes, turning with intervals, until well cooked. Serve hot and spicy Chicken Spirals with fresh basil leaves.
