Processed juices vs. Natural juices
What is more appealing than the beautiful colors, flavors and textures of nature squeezed into a tall glass of cold fruit juice? Apart from being incredibly refreshing, fruit and vegetable juices have a lot of other benefits. The most important one is that a glass of juice provides you with many more nutrients than eating the fruit would because you would never eat that much. Apart from that, juices are generally easier on the stomach and serve the purpose of providing you with the necessary nutrients even if you don’t have the appetite for a meal. There is no doubt about the fact that the benefits of juice are uncountable but the real question which remains is regarding the attributes of processed juices versus natural ones.
Do not be deceived by the exciting flavors and the attractive packaging of processed juices. Studies and research have shown that processed juices have been found to have negative implications for our bodies. The most prominent reason for this is that when the juice is pasteurized or processed, all the nutrients are completely destroyed and the only thing remaining is the excessive sugar and artificial flavoring both of which are harmful for your throat and digestive system. Not only that, but some processed juices are made from fruits that may have been imported and thus may have pesticides remaining in them which can cause poisoning in the human body and can even be fatal. In addition to pesticides, wax and other such chemicals have also been known to be found in processed juices. Just imagine the detrimental effects on your health if you keep consuming juices that contain such harmful components. Lastly, there are a lot of processed juices which are available in shrink wrapped packaging. This packing causes enzymes in the juice to become inactive meaning that when you consume it, the juice cannot be broken down and may cause problems in your digestive system.
Natural juices refers to the term freshly squeezed juices which are served without any additional preservatives. As a result they contain all the vitamins, minerals and fiber from the fruit and vegetable and provide immense benefits to your body. The fiber in the juice aids the digestive process and thus keeps your system running smoothly. Not only that, but these juices also supplement your blood and thus helps in the generation of new cells. This in turn increases the energy levels of your body and help it function normally on an everyday basis and grow stronger over time. And the benefits do not end here. Natural juices are a source of all the nutrients of vegetables and fruits for those babies who cannot consume them and those small children who refuse to eat them. Teenagers also incline greatly towards consuming natural juices because they play a large part in preventing the breakout of acne on your skin.
