Corn oil also commonly known as maize oil and is edible, It is produced by extraction of “germs” from the seeds of corn. The germs are extracted using chemicals like “hexane” or “ixohexane” which are removed later through evaporation.  Corn oil is generally less expensive compared the other types of edible oils and is famous for the bland flavor. However the price of corn oil rises by a large amount if it is provided in its unrefined form, which means it is 100% pure. Over the years the use of corn oil has been developing, its use is no longer limited to cooking. It can be used for hair treatment, making of biodiesel, for wood conditioning and giving stainless steel a shine.
