Juice Diet
A juice diet plan is a type of detox diet. It involves the short-term intake of raw vegetable and fruit juice and water only. Proponents of juice fasting use juice diet plan because it's thought to be a good source of vitamins and antioxidants. The juice diet recipes are an extreme form of detoxification because no solid food is consumed by our body.
This juice diet plan may last from a few days to several weeks. The juice consumed during a juice fast is not the type commercially available, but rather that produced from freshly juiced fruits and vegetables. There are many reasons why people may undergo this juice diet plan; some may have spiritual or religious reasons, attempts to lose weight, or attempts to stop habitual behavior such as smoking, drinking soda, overeating, caffeine addiction, etc. They may believe that this juice diet plan will cure chronic pain, cancer, depression, arthritis, severe infections that resisted antibiotics, autoimmune diseases, and many other incurable diseases. Others choose juice diet plan because they believe they can focus on healing specific organs and systems.

Possible Side Effects of a Juice Diet
Having liquids which are not high in all nutrients may cause temporary side effects like headaches, tiredness, hypoglycemia, constipation, acne, increased body odor, and bad breath. Other side effects may include fainting, dizziness, low blood pressure, heart arrhythmias, weight loss, hunger, vomiting, diarrhea, and kidney problems. If these side effects occur, there is a worsening of symptoms, or new symptoms appear, the juice diet plan should be discontinued and you should visit your doctor or nutritionist as soon as possible.
Another possible side effect of a juice diet plan is diarrhea, which can lead to dehydration and electrolyte loss. If continued for a longer time, the juice diet plan can lead to nutrient deficiencies, particularly protein and calcium deficiency.
Grape fruit and pomegranate are avoided during this juice diet plan since they have adverse effects on our health.
