Is it good for cooking or frying?
Canola oil is commonly used for frying, but it is also used for cooking. It is good for stir frying vegetables, but too much of something can add unnecessary calories to your meals. When cooking with canola oil, we are adding a lot of calories to our meals since we use more oil in cooking as compared to frying. Normally dieticians advise you that for cooking, you can use olive oil since it has less saturated fat as compared to canola oil.
For frying, you can use a small amount of canola oil and add a few vegetables and stir fry them and create a fat-free healthy meal. This way, you consume less saturated fat and have lower risks of being a cholesterol patient. If you plan on frying some protein, you can use around 5 tbsp. of canola oil and fry your meat in that. It will have less calorie content, and you will have a healthy and fit body.
For cooking, olive oil is recommended by many nutritionists. This is because it has less saturated fat, as compared to canola oil, but canola oil has more nutrients. The amount of nutrients present in half a cup of olive oil= 7 tbsp. of canola oil. This is why olive oil is recommended for cooking and canola oil is good for frying.
