Fun-Filled + Inexpensive Christmas Ideas!

Everyone wants their homes to look beautiful for Christmas. However, more often than not, most of us end up spending excessively on these decorations which are only used once a year. But who said spending a beautiful Christmas at home had to cost you anything? Fitness Republic believes in spending this blessed holiday Christmas not only in an economical way but in a way that involves the participation of the entire family to spend this joyous occasion!

Let the Spray Cans Come Out!

Instead of spending a fortune on decorations which you wouldn’t ordinarily use, it would be wiser to save up that money and engage in a family activity that every member of the family can enjoy! Just go pick a bunch of pine cones, tree branches and other parts of the tree across your neighborhood and spray-paint them in a Christmas like shade (red, green white, golden, and silver) and use them as a centre piece on your table or hang them up somewhere. You can further decorate them with beads and ribbons! Let your creative juices flow!

Put Book Marks & Cards on Display

Again this group activity for the family to enjoy that doesn’t cost much. Collect all cards you have received, the cards the little ones have made, or buy a pack for the future and put them up for display on a board; you can attach them to a string and put them on the door way too! You can further decorate them with bows and ribbons. Let your imagination guide you.

Make EASY Figures!

There is no limit to the decoration pieces you can make with ice cream sticks.

You can glitter them and add them on your Christmas tree, you can put them in a bowl, you can even stick on little figure heads

For instance: Paint ice-cream sticks and just make a little drawing of a tree, Santa, or a Christmas tree and stick them! Make a collection for the kids to enjoy and as a decoration piece on the table. It looks very pretty indeed.

Make Pillow-Presents!

Decorate your pillows to make to reflect the spit look festive Take your throw pillows and tie them with holiday colored ribbons either once around the middle or like a Christmas gift. Add a rhinestone pin for an extra kick!

Take Out the Candles!

What’s Christmas without some festive candles to ‘lighten’ the mood --- literally! There is just so much that one can do with candles on this occasion. The most straightforward thing to do is fill a transparent bowl (or any bowl of your choice!) and fill it with water and put some tea-light candles in it to float.

You can also fill up a bowl or a vase with water and fill it with fruit like cranberries and set the candles to float as well or you can set the candles in a bowl of nuts!

All of these designs look very pretty and don’t cost much either!

Put a Bow on it!

Use Ribbons and Bows to adorn your Lamps, Chairs and Bed, in any way you desire. They add a very stylish and cost effective touch to your home!
