Zumba is the new exercise craze that is hitting the heights in the fitness world. Integrating the use of Latin rhythms to put together a samba exercise routine Zumba has pioneered a unique way to get fit. It’s simply the reason because it's such fun, as you get covered in the music you actually forget that you're exercising!
Zumba was initiated from classes in gyms and fitness centers, but with the advancing technology, you can do it on your Wii, with Wii Zumba Fitness, that surely is great fun and fitness throughout! What else would you want?
If you look at the huge success Zumba has generated around the world, it's not surprising that gaming giants came up with the idea of a Zumba Fitness video game. The idea is definitely a no-brainer given the huge success other dance games such as Michael Jackson: the experience and Dance 2 have accomplished.
Zumba Fitness is a video game developed by Pipeworks Software and published by Majesco Entertainment based on the Zumba program. Released in November 2010, the game is available for Wii with a Zumba Belt, PlayStation 3 with PlayStation Move and Xbox 360 with Kinect.
To say it briefly, it’s a dancing program but somehow it’s a bit different. All of the music featured is Latin, so samba, lambada, salsa, cha cha etc. however the slight difference is that Zumba mixes these traditional latin moves with some street dance moves. Along with the pulsating rhythms it's a hypnotic mix - you simply can't help wanting to move to the beat!
And, the reason for its success it simply that people, generally, do not like to exercise, a fitness workout is hard after all! But Wii Zumba Fitness makes it complete fun!
The dancing is difficult for some people, however, you get a really good sweat on and the heart is pumping, but for some reason you just don't experience the pain of solitary exercise.
You know that pain from pushing yourself so hard on the treadmill...it's just not there. Probably because the music and movement produce a fun natural high that seems to take away the pain of the exercise "burn". So, it's enjoyable to exercise and burn that fat!
I think this is why Zumba is so hugely popular, and now you can enjoy the exprience in your own home with Wii Zumba Fitness.
The gameplay isn’t that hard – you just follow the on-screen dancer who shows you all the Zumba moves and guides you as you go along.
