Before getting started

You need to have these before you begin your online teaching career.

  • Computer with Internet access (Obviously!)
  • Studio space or empty space
  • Video Camera

Zumba® workshops

  • You must participate in an official Zumba® instructor workshop to acquire a teaching certificate.
  • The workshop covers basic Zumba® moves and how to create a lesson plan.

Outline your plans

  • Chalk out each workout. Envisage teaching a live group class what it would look and sound like.
  • Make a script of the way you would conduct the workout. Write out the specific instructions that you would be giving along the way.

Get and Share Videos

  • Use a blog, a website or a video sharing account such as YouTube, Dailymotion or Vimeo etc. to post and share instructional videos of the Zumba® classes.
  • Set up a camera in a studio or in an empty space large enough to comfortably and correctly demonstrate the Zumba® lesson.
  • The camera should be positioned to capture the entire area that will be used in the lesson; the instructor's entire body should always be within the camera's frame.
  • Upload the video to the lessons website or video sharing site.
  • Write a short description of the lesson, including the length and level (beginner, intermediate, advanced).
