V Sit + Twist Exercise


V sit twist exercise is a compound and effective total body workout that specifically targets the obliques. Obliques are the muscles that run down both sides of the abdomen and should be stressed and toned if you want to trim your waistline. Many people like to target obliques and core abs muscles in order to get abdominals in shape. V sit exercise is a particular workout that targets and helps to strengthen abdominal muscles. Combining V sit with twists takes the exercise to an advanced level and enhances the intensity and benefits for several muscle groups. The additional stress on back muscles and core abs strengthens and stabilizes lower and upper body.

V Sit + Twist Exercise - Step 1

Step 1

Sit tall on the floor with your knees bent. Holding the medicine ball at chest level in both hands, lean back slightly engaging your abs.

V Sit + Twist Exercise - Step 2

Step 2

Lift both knees towards chest, reach forward with your arms. Now move the medicine ball from your left to right side, gently taping it down on the mat beside you as you move it from side to side keeping your back and feet raised off the mat and your abs engaged the entire time.
