Keep Your Workout Commitments
You’re more likely to make it to your gym or your workout session if you schedule it in advance in your Blackberry, PDA or day timer. Treat them as important appointments instead of mere suggestions and you’ll be more likely to follow through. To discourage you from skipping your “appointments”, give yourself a penalty for each missed session, such as 25 additional push ups or 10 extra minutes of running. Even if you’re short on time, a quick 15-minute workout is still better than none at all.

Running

Running is one of the simplest ways to exercise, and you don’t need any fancy equipment to get started. All you need is a good pair of running shoes and you’re good to go. It doesn’t require a great deal of technique at first, and it’s not age or gender- biased. It’s also a great way to burn calories fast. Running can burn nearly 600 calories per hour for a 150 lb person. Why start running? Studies have shown there are tremendous benefits to running, including reducing your risk of illnesses such as colds, flu and even heart disease.
