One of the most common problems of allergy is that it leads to inflammation which results in fluid accumulation. This increases the occurrence of ear infections amongst children; it can even affect the hearing abilities of a child. These ear infections can be really troublesome and annoying for the kid since he may always have the urge to scratch his ears or feel as if his ears are clogged. This symptom may also result in poor speech development if this occurs at a stage when the child is learning to speak.
Another common allergy symptom in children is nasal congestion. This can be really irritating for a child since he/she may have constant troubles breathing through their nose properly and might have to breathe through the mouth, especially when the child is sleeping. It is very important to consult a doctor if your child suffers from this problem, since it can lead to abnormal growth of bones and teeth. A child may also have trouble sleeping and may get agitated when he/she is suffering from this problem.
Itching is one of the most common allergy symptoms in children. This is a symptom that may indicate that a child is suffering from Airborne or Food allergy. The child may wake up to find that certain parts of the body are red and he would have the constant urge to scratch certain areas of the body. This may also increase the occurrence of rashes. In severe cases the child would feel itchy all over the body.
