External Rotator Cuff Exercise
Description
External rotator cuff exercises are effective to build strength and flexibility in rotator cuff. Rotator cuff is a group of muscles on shoulder joint that are important for circular shoulder movement as used in throwing a ball. Regular rotator cuff exercise is necessary to improve strength and flexibility to prevent sudden injury risks and muscular strains. Shoulder is the most flexible joint in your body that needs strength and flexibility to perform a number of tasks regularly. External rotator cuff with toning tube allows you to activate your shoulders and increase the stability.
Step 1
Using a toning tube or resistance band, secure one end to a fixed object and hold the other end in one hand. Stand sideways with the resisted hand opposite the band's attachment point, With your elbow bent at 90 degrees.
Step 2
Start with the hand close to the body and rotate your arm away from the body until you've reached your full range of motion. Return to the start position. keep your torso straight and tall throughout the exercise Complete 12-15 reps before moving to the other arm.
