Make sure you take up a hard warm up before the time trial in order to get your energy systems properly in place and ready to shoot up and go! It is advisable to try and finish up the warm up close to the race time, within the last 10 minutes would be the most ideal choice!

Even though heart rate monitors, power meters and cycling computers are all incredible pieces of technology giving you constant feedback on where you stand with your time trial cycling, do not let them own you. It is more advisable to experience different hear rate levels and power outputs so that you can see which one suits your style and feel better.
